Already Buchanan’s mind is racing ahead towards his next project ‘It’s going to be epic. It’s going to be massive,” he grins “I can’t wait to get my teeth into it.”

The cause of such enthusiasm is Thomas Muir. The patron of Buchanan’s Bishopbriggs secondary school….Muir led a peripatetic life, beginning in Bishopbriggs and ending in Paris with stints in Edinburgh, Australia, Mexico, Cuba and Spain sandwiched in between, Muir was both an advocate and prisoner of the law…. ‘I’ve been to most of these places Muir went to” says Buchanan ‘We’re both from Bishopbriggs. He went to these places for political reasons and me for cultural reasons’ I plan to make an investigative work about that.
