The development, expansion and diversification of Helpfindmyneighbour.com website. This artwork explores the life and times of Scottish Political Reformer Thomas Muir (1765 – 1799). For the 2023 relaunch I’ve opened up access to this project through translation into French and Spanish. As a research thread it stretches back to 1998 with outcomes consistently being exhibited nationally and internationally. I developed the online platform in 2008 when I was collaborating with The Future Museum Project co-ordinated by the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock, south-west Scotland. The aim of the project was to link two towns; Stanraer and Portpatrick with a range of locations around the world, the idea was that these small towns could command as much gravity within this project as a mega-city like Paris. Identifying seventy one locations around the world that Thomas travelled through in his lifetime, I consistently return to this project through exhibition or when teaching brings me close to a location.
